In the early months of 1986, the Mike Ruhnke family decided to spread their wings, leaving friends and family behind, to see what Texas was all about. It didn't take long for them to fall completely in love with the people, the huge sky, and the climate.

Mike was born and raised in Southern Minnesota. In April of 1982 he married Fran, also of Minnesota. They quickly began their family having their first son, Michael, in June 1983. They proudly bore their second son, C.J., a native Texan, in March of 1987.

During his high school years, Mike began what turned out to be a career in the printing business. it was his expertise and experience that brought him to Texas to work for a local company, Teraco, Inc., as a Pressman. Eventually Mike earned the position of Production Manager.

Mike devoted 22.5 years of service to Teraco, Inc., before he realized his true desire. After much contemplation he, together with his family, decided to pursue a new career, Ruhnke's Xtreme Cycles L.L.C. His youngest son, C.J., has joined with him in this endeavor and together they are working toward excellence in this business.

Mike has always had a love for the great outdoors and motorized vehicles. He has passed that trait on to his sons. From the battery operated "Monster Truck", when the boys were very young, to the four wheelers, dirt bikes, sand rails, 4X4s, and motorcycles..... you name it....... if it takes oil and has a motor they're happy!!!
